National Marmalade Week at Alf's
Sunday 1st - Sunday 8th March
We LOVE Marmalade we do!!!
So, why not pop in and join us for a celebration of the sticky orange stuff and have a piece of toast on us to try our fabulous homemade marmalade.
After winning a Silver Award last year for her delicious Marmalade with Figs, Pine Nuts & Walnuts in the International Marmalade Awards (woo hoo!).....Kate has been even busier this year bubbling up even more different recipes.
You can come in and try our famous Award Winning marmalade with Figs, Pine Nuts & Walnuts, Seville and Stem Ginger, one laced with Whiskey & Walnuts, Cider & Orange, Crushed Coriander & Tripe Sec, Dark Rum & Raisin, Orange & Stem Ginger and Orange & Pumpkin.
We'll also have some sticky marmalade bars, an orange cake or two, Paddington inspired specials, books and a children's colouring competition!
We are happy to yet again support this unique local event by being one of the foodie stops on the trail!
If you’re a fan of local food, drink and scenic running, it’s time to grab yourself a nibble, pour your favourite tipple, lace up your trainers and read on... The Delicious Dart Trail...a trail running event with a difference.
Starting at The Shops at Dartington, a brand new location for 2015, participants will run to the coastal town of Dartmouth, sampling a wide variety of the finest local produce along the way.
By the time they reach Dartmouth, participants will have clocked up 15 miles of spectacular riverside trail and tasted more than a dozen different beers, wines, liqueurs, savouries and puddings. An alternative 10 mile route which stops short in Dittisham and includes transportation by ferry to the finish in Dartmouth is also an option.
There are only 350 entries available on The Delicious Dart Trail so you will have to be quick if you want to secure a place!
Proceeds from the Delicious Dart Trail will go to CHICKS, a wonderful charity which provides respite breaks at its centres in Devon and Cornwall for disadvantaged kids from all over the UK
Come & cheer on the fancy dress bedecked runners!
