| The largest and probably most well known event held in the town is the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta at the end of August each year, where the whole town and river is livelier than ever, and everyone can enjoy the carnival spirit. But there are many other events all year round to interest and involve visitors. These include music festivals, art exhibitions, food fairs and Christmas celebrations. Local villages hold their own fairs and festivals to add to the long list of memorable events always being celebrated in the area. Please bear in mind that during these events the town is often very busy and early booking at Alf’s for both accommodation and food is essential. |
